Thank you, thank you. I trust your review and have been giving this serious consideration for some time. I have thousands upon thousands of photos to digitize (negatives from my childhood and prior), but know that I will need to be fairly selective if I wish to even eat beans for the rest of my life! ;)

My very first scanner, a Microtek (remember SCSI/scuzzy cards?), was insanely good at scanning slides and photos, however, after it bit the dust (hmm, perhaps that is what claimed it’s life, eh?) and I purchased an Epson Perfection, my scan life fell by the wayside. Painstaking process. One photo and hours later, I was not a happy scanner and have not done so since :p

I too bought a scanner with a negative holder a year ago, which still hasn’t been used for scanning negatives. I have a huge box of photos and slides from my parent’s estate from when I cleaned out their house 3 years ago after their death. Going to get right on this project! Thanks SO MUCH!!!
